9、中式英語(Ch ing lish)比比皆是中式英語是指中國的英語學習者和使用者在學習使用過程中,由于受母語及其文化和文際習慣的干擾,加之英語水平有限,憑自己主觀想象,硬套漢語規則和習慣組合的不符合規范的英語。例如,“暫停收款”被譯為“ Stop Cashier”,這就是將中文逐字翻譯的結果。而實際上,只要用“Closed”即可。而“注意安全”在有些地方被譯為“Notice Safety”。按照這種翻譯,就是在提示人們,擔心別往安全的地方去。而在英文中,一般用“Danger”,既簡單又有警示作用。在某超市的外墻上,有兩條醒目的廣告語:“天天低價”和“每天都省錢”。其下面的英文分別為“low prices everyday”和“today and any day payless”。這是典型的按照中文意思硬譯成的英語。表達同樣的意思,不如翻譯成“All sale every day”和” We save money for you”更妥當些。
10、錯譯,硬譯,生造詞導致誤讀有很多標識語由于使用不準確的表達方式,導致信息失真,所要傳達的信息不能取得預期效果。“西藥房”被錯譯成“Western Pharmacy”(西方的藥店),“不要進入綠地”成了“No entrance to greenland”(不要進入格陵蘭島)。有些商場常常有“Wele you again”的牌子,我們都知道是歡迎下次再來,但“wele”就表示歡迎再來了,這么一寫,就成了歡迎兩次了。再如“司機一滴酒,親人兩行淚”,將其譯成“One Drinkof Alcohol on the Part of the Driver Can Result in Two Lines of Tears for HisFamily”。這樣的翻譯就是生硬的將中文翻譯成英語。如果將其譯為“Drink and Drive Costs Your Life”,則不僅表達了句子原本的含義,而且更簡潔,更具提示作用,也不顯得生硬。
11、標識語翻譯不符合語言禮貌原則同樣的意思在英語中可以有多種表達方式,不同表達方式的差別往往在于語氣和情感,而語氣和情感的選擇又取決于具體的環境,所以英語標識的翻譯一定要考慮具體的場合與對象,考慮被提示對象的閱讀心理與情感,意思正確只是翻譯的第一步。例如,“殘疾人電梯”,在很多商場里就被直接譯成“Lift for the Disabled”。從語義上,這樣的翻譯是正確的,但從語言的人文關懷角度,“disabled”指殘疾人,就顯得不夠照顧殘疾朋友的感受,如果翻譯成“L ift for the Underp rivileged”,就更符合禮貌和委婉的原則,因為“ under p riveleged”指地位不高的人,則更顯出譯者的人文關懷。還有在很多公共場所都能看到“禁止”這樣的字眼。如果直譯成英語為“Don’ t”,這樣的翻譯口氣比較生硬,不委婉。如,“Don’ t make noise”(禁止喧嘩),“Don’t pick the flowers”(禁止摘花)。但如果翻譯成,“Quiet, please”(請安靜)和“ Take care of the flow2ers, please”(請愛護花),則簡練又營造了輕松的氣氛。

1、拼寫錯誤例如：“月光旅館(Moon Hotel)”被拼寫成了“Moon Hotle”；在銀行“儲蓄（Saving）”被拼寫成了“Saviny”。“上了陽朔碼頭怎麼走，電動車載你在畫中游。”翻譯成了“do you go after landing yangshuo dock? Electric cans will take you to hace a beautiful trip”,在這里“cans”應該是“vans”and“hace’應該是“have”。
2、語法錯誤例如:“旅游箱包”—“Tourist Case and Bag”應該是“Tourist Cases and Bags”;“男式服飾用品”—“Man’s accessories”應該是“Men’s accessories”。“停車場”被翻譯成了“Park”，and而正確的翻譯應為“Parking”。“她的美讓絢麗的世界黯然失色”—“Her beautiful made the bright world dim.”應該是“Her beauty made the bright world dim”。
3、中式英語例如：“請保持環境衛生”被翻譯成了“Please Keep the Environment sanitation”。這是典型的中式英語.正確的翻譯是“Please Keep the Place Clean and Tidy”。“公共廁所”.許多場所將其翻譯成了“WC”，不太文雅。應該被翻譯成“Restroom”或者“Men’s room,Women’s room”。
4、文化誤讀例如：“民族園”is translated as“Racist Park種族歧視園”。種族在國外是一個敏感的話題而“racist”意思是有種族歧視的人，這樣翻譯是十分不妥的。“茶藝表演”—“Tea Skill Performance（茶技表演）”。在中國，茶是很重要的。在西方國家，只將茶視為飲料的外國人可能沒法理解茶的制作也是需要良好的氛圍的。如微風、月光、樂器的美妙旋律等。如果“茶藝”被翻譯成了“tea skill（茶技）”,這種活動將失去其獨特的魅力，因為英語中的"技能"意味著一種借助或不借助工具某事的能力。為了讓外國人獲得茶藝的本質，最好把它譯為“Tea Arts Performance”。
